Aircraft piston engine is an important kind of aircraft engines.In this paper,the classification and manufacturers of aircraft piston engines are summarized.The SAE specifications of lubricating oils used in aircraft piston engines are expounded in detail,which are SAE J1966 and SAE J1899,the establishment of domestic standard is also included.Furthermore,the paper focuses on the introduction of the functional additives used in aircraft piston engine lubricants.The available aircraft piston engine oils are researched and it can provide certain reference for the development of aircraft piston engine lubricants.
