The research and development of 6500kW large pump motor in GM3 pump station of Wanjiazhai Yellow River Diversion Project is introduced in detail,and the electromagnetic design,structural design,rigidity and strength calculation as well as ventilation calculation of the motor are mainly introduced.Through research and development of this type of motor,the design and analysis calculation methods of this kind of motors are known and mastered,which provide some useful references for the design of same type of motors.
