Environmental regulation,space overflow and economic growth

为探究环境规制对经济增长的空间影响,基于2005—2016全国31个省级面板数据,先采用静态面板回归,然后进行空间杜宾模型检验。结果得出:静态面板模型中的环境规制对经济增长有显著的正向作用,表明提高地区的环境规制水平可以促进该地区经济增长;在空间杜宾模型中,环境规制与经济发展都具有明显的空间集聚效应,且本地区经济增长不仅受到该地区环境规制的影响,还受到相邻地区环境规制的溢出影响。在此背景下,各地区政府应该加强联合颁布地区环境规制的政策,促进区域经济协调发展。

To explore the spatial impact of environmental regulation on economic growth,based on the panel data of 31 provinces in China from 2005 to 2016,this paper adopts static panel regression first,and then carries out Spatial Durbin model test.The result shows that environmental regulation in the static panel model has a significant positive effect on economic growth,indicating that improving the level of environmental regulation can promote economic growth in the region.In the Spatial Durbin model,both environmental regulation and economic development have obvious spatial agglomeration effect,and the economic growth of this region is not only affected by the environmental regulation of this region,but also affected by the spillover of environmental regulation of neighboring regions.In this context,regional governments should strengthen the joint promulgation of regional environmental regulation policies to promote the coordinated development of regional economy.
