摘要
在20世纪英语文学创作中,拥有移民背景的作家成为一股突出创作力量,他们独特的移民背景为世界文学提供了独特题材和新颖的视角。文章以英国作家多丽丝·莱辛的短篇小说《魔法不卖》为例,分析了殖民者与非洲原住民构成的对立阶级的互动与隐喻,阐释了莱辛早期非洲题材作品对殖民主义的批判态度和文学价值。
In the 20 th century,writers with immigrant background become one of the most prominent groups in contemporary English literature.Their own diaspora experience provided unique themes and novel perspectives for the world’s literature.This paper,taking the characters in Doris Lessing’s short story“No Witchcraft for Sale”,analyzes the interaction and metaphor between the colonialists and the native African people,and explains the critical attitude and literary value of Lessing’s early African works on colonialism.
