摘要
本文探讨了利玛窦中文伦理哲学著作的重要性,指出利氏中文伦理哲学作品并非对西方文学、哲学作品的忠实翻译,并以利氏晚年撰写的最后一部中文伦理哲学作品《畸人十篇》为例,分析利氏如何通过改写、删节、嫁接、替换等手段,让译文尽可能符合天主教伦理,合乎儒家文化传统,并在此分析的基础上,逐步勾勒出利氏将经过"修剪"的西方古典文学及伦理哲学引入中国的始末。
This article discusses the importance of Matteo Ricci’s Chinese ethical and philosophical works,pointing out that his works were not a faithful translation of Western literature and philosophy.This study also takes Ricci’s ethical and philosophical work Ten Paradoxes written in Chinese in his later life as an example,analyzing how he made the translation to conform to Catholic ethics and the Confucian cultural tradition as much as possible by means of rewriting,abridging,additions and substitutions.On the basis of this analysis,the paper gradually outlines the process of Ricci’s introduction of revised Western classics and ethical philosophy into China.
