北京辅仁大学与中西交流的早期实践——《辅仁英文学志》研究

The Early Stage of Communication between the Catholic University of Peking and the West:A Case Study of the Bulletin of the Catholic University of Peking

本文以北京辅仁大学最早创办的刊物《辅仁英文学志》为个案,探讨其办刊背景、发展历程和学术旨趣,以此考察辅仁大学创设之初与中外学界的互动状况,揭橥汉学研究对现代传教事业的意义。

This article takes the publication of the Bulletin of the Catholic University of Peking(1926—1934)by the Catholic University of Peking as its focus,and discusses the background and academic interests of the journal,finding that the research articles published in this journal generally dealt with exchanges between China and the West,as well as the history of Christianity in China.This paper further explores the interactions between the Catholic University of Peking and the Chinese and foreign academic circles at the beginning of this university,reflects on the communications between Chinese and Western culture in this journal,and interprets its significance for sinological studies as related to the interests of the modern missionary.
