At present,the development of regional education in China is in an important period of strategic opportunity.It is necessary to accelerate the modern process of regional education governance and realize the shift from regional administration to regional governance.The modernization of regional education governance has its own unique value in supporting major national decisions,improving the overall quality of regional education,balanced allocating regional education resources,and meeting the diversified educational needs of regional people.In order to promote the modernization of regional education governance,government should base on the actual needs of regional education development,adhere to multiple participation,ensure fairness and efficiency,maintain public justice,and constantly improve the scientific nature and rationality of regional education governance.In practice,the leading role of local governments in the modernization of regional education governance should be brought into full play,the supporting role of regional social organizations should be strengthened,the main role of regional schools should be clarified,and a comprehensive regional education governance modernization system should be established.
