战争影片的多模态转喻批评分析

A multimodal metonymic critical analysis of war films

作为国防话语的一部分,批评话语分析视角的战争影片研究目前并不多见。本文根据战争影片的语类特征,从转喻的表征功能、语篇功能、评价功能以及定位功能这四个方面将中美战争片进行了对比分析和讨论,揭示中美战争片在交际目的、主题思想、对战争和死亡的思考以及意识形态上的差异,并在此基础上进行深入的讨论。本研究扩展了批评话语分析的语类类型,探索了转喻分析在多模态话语分析中的具体分析方法,是批评话语分析认知转向在多模态领域中一次新的尝试。

As a part of national defense discourse,war films are seldom analyzed from the perspective of Critical Discourse Analysis( CDA). This paper makes a comparative study of two war films,one is Chinese film Operation Red Sea,the other is American film Black Hawk Down. Through a detailed analysis of four metonymic functions,namely,representational,discursive,evaluative and positioning function,it is found that the two films differ from each other in communicative purposes,themes,the reflection on the meaning of war and death,and ideology. And based on the findings,a deep discussion is made.This study expands the genre types of CDA and explores method of metonymy analysis in multimodal discourse analysis. It is also a new attempt of cognitive turn of CDA in the field of multimodality.
