摘要
本研究采用问卷调查与访谈结合的方式,对我国21个省市自治区的568名MTI学生心目中理想翻译硕士(MTI)教师的素质进行了实证研究。首先采用探索性因子分析的方法,得出构成学生心目中理想MTI教师的五个维度,分别为教师的学科知识、师德风范、实践能力、教学能力以及科研能力。随后研究者结合对13名MTI学生的访谈内容,进一步分析了理想MTI教师素质的特点,并尝试建构基于大规模实证研究的学生视角下理想MTI教师素质模型。该模型的建构旨在为教师了解学生在MTI学习过程中多维度的需求提供参考,使教师实现高效的MTI教学,培养出符合翻译市场需求的人才,同时也为MTI教师的培训与发展方向提供实证支持,提升MTI教育的质量。
Through the combination of questionnaires and interviews,this study explores the qualities of ideal MTI( Master of Translation and Interpreting) teachers based on data collected from 568 MTI students in 21 provinces,autonomous regions and municipalities in China. Firstly,the result of exploratory factor analysis reveals five dimensions of ideal MTI teachers from the perspectives of students,including teachers’ professional knowledge,morality,practical ability,teaching ability and academic research ability. Then researchers analyze the characteristics of ideal MTI teachers’ qualities combining the interviews with 13 MTI students and tries to construct an ideal MTI teacher’s quality model based on the large-scale empirical research. The model is designed to provide teachers with a reference for understanding students’ multi-dimensional needs in the MTI learning process,so as to enable teachers to achieve effective MTI teaching and cultivate talents that meet the needs of the translation market. It is also hoped that the model would provide empirical support for MTI teachers’ professional training and development direction so as to facilitate the quality of MTI education.
