Objective To reduce the incidence of central venous catheter related skin injury by improving the maintenance of central venous catheter in our department. Methods 100 cases of hospitalized patients with central venous catheter through upper extremity vein in the hospital from May 2018 to May 2019 were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the experiment group. The control group was given conventional catheter maintenance methods of the department, the experiment group was given the standard procedure of remove application.Skin protection was given before pasting and established the central venous catheter quality control group.Observe the skin impregnation and exudation around venous catheters, contact dermatitis, mechanical injury, infection at the puncture site between two groups. Results The incidence of central venous catheter skin injury in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group, and there was statistically significant difference in two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion The improved measures can effectively reduce the incidence of central venous catheter skin injury in newborn and ensure the safety of newborn.
