The Winter Training Center and the May Day Theater are located in the Winter Olympic Plaza of the northern part of Shougang Industrial Park. The aesthetic experience is divided into two structural intentions, one is the feeling of realistic scene and other is the experience of historical situation. The design is based on the current situation of the site and the reconstruction of the building. Through the design strategies of functional reorganization, memory reconstruction, visual construction, minimum intervention and ecological technology, the beauty of the ruins is demonstrated, and its aesthetic value is made to serve the core value of Shougang Industrial Park. Finally, an urban space with both ruins aesthetics, historical narrative and collective ownership is built, which meets the requirements of Winter Olympic training office and hotel services and business functions.
