Current status of primary hemifacial spasm and Meige syndrome and their treatment with botulinum toxin type A

对国内外关于原发性偏侧面肌痉挛及Meige综合征和A型肉毒素对其治疗的文献进行回顾性分析,阐述原发性偏侧面肌痉挛及Meige综合征的发病机制、诊断及治疗现状,重点阐述A型肉毒毒素注射治疗原发性偏侧面肌痉挛及Meige综合征的适应证、药物使用浓度、药效、药效持续时间、注射位点、并发症及对情绪的影响等。明确A型肉毒毒素治疗原发性偏侧面肌痉挛及Meige综合征的优越性。

In this review,a retrospective analysis of some literatures is performed concerning primary hemifacial spasm,Meige syndrome and their treatment with botulinum toxin type A.The pathogenesis,diagnosis and treatment status of primary hemifacial spasm and Meige syndrome are described.Besides,the review emphasizes the indications of botulinum toxin type A,effective concentration,efficacy,duration of efficacy,injection site,complications and effects on emotions,aiming to determine the superiority of botulinum toxin type A in the treatment of primary hemifacial spasm and Meige syndrome.
