This paper fi rst introduces the constitution principle and composition of the hydrogenerator,then discusses the common faults of the hydrogenerator,which mainly include the overload operation in the electrical fault of the generator set in the hydropower plant;the high temperature or the grounding of the rotor and stator in the working operation of the generator set in the hydropower plant;the machinery with strong vibration of the Hydrogenerator in the hydropower plant The mechanical failure of cavitation occurred in hydro generator of hydropower plant and the stability of power grid system decreased.This paper expounds the diagnosis methods of hydro generator in hydropower plant,including observing the appearance of hydro generator unit in hydropower plant,asking the equipment management personnel and relevant staff of hydro generator unit in hydropower plant,using scientifi c and advanced detection instruments to diagnose hydro generator unit in hydropower plant.According to the above fault progress I,the corresponding maintenance measures are proposed,including strengthening the maintenance work of the water turbine generator unit and improving the comprehensive quality level of the management personnel of the water turbine generator unit.It provides the related documents for the common faults and maintenance of the hydroelectric generating units.
