The constant prompt of industrial level promotes the development of national economy,but also makes a series of outstanding achievements in the industrial fi eld.The development of power system is particularly signifi cant.Transmission line is one of the important parts.Because of its complexity,improving the safety and reliability of transmission line has become an important part of the development of power system at this stage.The status of insulator has a very important infl uence on the safe operation of transmission line itself.If the insulator fails,it will also affect the normal operation of transmission line as a whole.Therefore,the detection of insulator is also a link in the fault analysis of transmission line,which is also the focus of this paper.
