5G is building the core of digital world with its supreme characteristics of ultra-broadband,massiveconnection,low-latency.High-accuracy positioning is the key technology of time and space information perception,which promotes the rebuilding of traditional industries and the blooming of emerging industries.When 5G meets Beidou system,these basic capabilities can jointly fulfi ll a precisely digital world.Furthermore,the convergence of 5G and BDS,together with new technology will drive the evolution of information era to the intelligence era.This paper analyzes the background of convergence between 5G and Beidou high-accuracy positioning,the co-construction of 5G network and continuously operating reference stations,the co-operation of 5G and BDS in positioning technology and the combination of 5G communication and high-accuracy positioning in one equipment,then ends with a foresight of this convergence.
