With the coming of 5G era,small cell will gradually gain popularity due to its fl exible networking and low construction cost.The protocol stack software is the core software part of the 5G small cell.This paper discusses the protocol stack software related technologies of the 5G small cell,introduces the 5G network architecture,and analyzes the composition and software architecture of the protocol stack.
