The Janus kinase/signal transduction and activator of transcription(JAK/STAT)signaling pathway is a common pathway for many cytokine signaling pathways, and it is involved in cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, and inflammation to varying degrees.Processes such as apoptosis and inflammation promote the development and progression of various diseases, including inflammatory bowel diseases(IBD).IBD is a chronic,non-specific inflammatory disease of the intestine that is often recurrent and the cause is unknown. In this review,we will explore the mechanisms by which JAK/STAT signaling its structure and its mechanisms contribute to the pathogenesis of IBD,and the application of JAK inhibitors in the JAK/STAT signaling pathway in current and future therapeutic approaches of IBD.
