Analysis of Professor LIU Xianlin’s Treatment of Liver Diseases

刘献琳以"肝体阴用阳"为核心,结合肝脏特点,确立虚实治法、治肝八法及整体治肝法三大治法体系。虚实治法将肝系疾病分为虚证、实证两大类,乃据病情虚实分类拟定的治法;治肝八法基于肝脏特点,结合肝之阴阳气血的病理变化,提出养肝阴、补肝血、通肝络、疏肝气、泻肝火、平肝阳、熄肝风、温肝寒8类基本治法;整体治肝法是基于脏腑密切关系,从五脏六腑论治肝病。

LIU Xianlin regards "liver being substantial yin and functional yang" as the theoretical core of treating liver diseases. According to the physiological and pathological characteristics of liver, He establishes the three major theoretical system of liver diseases treatment: the treatment of deficiency and excess, eight methods of treating liver and holistic treatment of liver. Deficiency and excess treatment therapy is to divide liver diseases into deficiency syndrome and excess syndrome, and draw up treatment methods according to disease classification. Eight methods of treating liver are based on liver characteristics, according to the pathological changes of liver yin yang and qi blood, proposed to nourish liver yin, tonifying liver blood, activating liver collaterals, dredge liver 1i, purging liver fire, smoothing liver yang, extinguishing liver wind and warming liver dispel cold, there are eight basic treatment methods. The holistic treatment of liver is to put the liver into the viscera as a whole, and treat the liver disease according to the viscera close relationship. LIU Xianlin uses three major theoretical system to guide the treatment of liver diseases.
