2012年11月15日习近平总书记首次提出“人民对美好生活的向往就是我们的奋斗目标”,党的十九大进一步将其表述为“永远把人民对美好生活的向往作为奋斗目标”。这一论断标志着中国共产党从更加重视经济发展目标到更加重视社会发展目标的转型。人民群众对美好生活的向往具有丰富内涵,“八个期盼”是主要内容。这一论断具有重大意义,体现了以习近平同志为核心的党中央强烈的宗旨意识和使命担当,具有重要时代价值。

On November 15,2012,XI Jinping,general secretary of the Communist Party of China,put forward for the first time that"People′s pursuit of a better life should be the goal for us to strive for",and the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China further described it as"That striving for the good life of the people is the goal of our struggle".This conclusion marks the transformation of the Communist Party of China from attaching greater importance to the goal of economic development to that of social development.People′s longing for a better life has rich connotations,of which the"eight expectations"hold the focal content.This assertion is of great significance,embodying the strong sense of the goal and the mission of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China with comrade XI Jinping as its core,and it has important value of the times.
