Historian Morris’s correspondence, book review and obituary about Wu Lien-teh

莫里斯阅读伍连德的《鼠疫斗士:一个现代中国医生的自传》后,曾致信李约瑟,希望发起授予伍连德剑桥伊曼纽尔学院荣誉学位提议;后又在《剑桥评论》撰写书评,介绍伍连德自传;伍连德去世后,又撰写讣告,刊登于《泰晤士报》,予伍连德高度评价。

After reading Wu Lien-teh’s Plague Fighter:The Autobiography of a Modern Chinese Physician,Morris wrote to Joseph Needham,proposing to award an honorary degree from Emmanuel College in Cambridge to Mr.Wu.He,then,wrote a book review in Cambridge Review introducing Wu Lien-teh’s autobiography After Wu Lien-teh’s death,he wrote an obituary published in the Times,giving Wu Lien-teh highly praised.
