The coal-based columnar activated carbon has the advantages of large specific surface area,high strength and recyclable utilization,which is suitable for environmental protection industries such as wastewater treatment,desulfurization and denitrification.Based on the market situation of coal-based activated carbon,the preparation process of coal-based column activated carbon was introduced,the research results of physical activation,chemical activation,physical-chemical composite activation and modification of activated carbon were summarized,and the application progress of coal-based column activated carbon in its main application fields,such as purified water treatment,desulfurization and denitrification,and recovery and extraction of precious metal organic solvent was analyzed.
