Many risks of external damage,freezing erosion of rain and snow exist for communication systems including optical fiber,satcom and microwave systems as well as communication facilities including mobile vehicles,fixed communication facilities and communication machine-rooms.Risk factors monitoring is necessary for discovering the hidden troubles or failures and taking appropriate measures.Based on an introduction of ZigBee sensor network technology,its detecting application in communication systems is discussed from the aspects of sensor selection and deployment,LAN construction,IP network access and security,etc.
