CHINA Yueju OperaInscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2009 The Chinese practice of Yueju Opera combines Mandarin operatic performances and Cantonese dialect.Rooted in the Cantonese-speaking part of south China’s Guangdong Province and southwest China's Guangxi ZhuangAutonomous Region. Yueju Opera is characteristic of string and percussion instruments.with elaborate costumes and facepainting.
