The Association for Library Service to Children(ALSC)is one of the divisions of America Library Association,and is the largest organization dedicated to support and develop the library service for children.This paper analyzes the practices of reading promotion service of ALSC,including setting up various book awards,professional developing children’s recommend lists from information resources,as well as professional subsidies,then summarizes its characteristics and provides reference for the reading promotion service of domestic public libraries.
