As an ancient city,Baoding has been endowed with different functions during different periods.After the developmental stages of a key military town,apolitical center,a key site of military education,an industrial city and a famous cultural city,the very city have been through ups and downs twice.On April 1,2017,Xiong’an New Area was established in Baoding,and this is a key strategy for the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.The establishment of Xiong’an New Area makes Baoding a major beneficiary and offers unprecedented historical opportunity and drive for the development of the very city.
