摘要
Acute barium poisoning is uncommon in clinical practice.It occurs primarily due to the ingestion of soluble barium compounds such as BaCJ that causes gastroenteritis(vomiting,diarrhea,and abdominal pain),hypokalemia,hypertension,cardiac arrhythmia,and skeletal muscle paralysis.Recently,several related cases of barium poisoning due to food contamination occurred in the vicinity of our hospital.We present the data for these cases and describe a representative case that we managed.
