On the basis of expounding the development status and application significance of 3D printing, this paper enumerates the reasons that restrict the popularization of 3D printing in the machinery industry, and discusses several promotion measures. We hope that with the help of 3D printing technology, we can produce the required mechanical parts in Colleges and universities, and provide better services for social development.
