Epidural analgesia and breastfeeding

分娩会对产妇产生严重的疼痛,许多产妇希望在分娩过程中进行疼痛管理,但分娩镇痛有其医学适应证。在没有禁忌证的情况下,产妇的要求是一个充分的医疗指征,以减轻分娩期间的疼痛。硬膜外镇痛越来越多被用于分娩中的疼痛缓解。母乳喂养是一个重要的公共卫生问题,母乳喂养对婴儿在短期和长期内的益处现在已得到充分证实。尽管目前分娩时已广泛使用硬膜外镇痛,但产科和麻醉提供者尚未就分娩镇痛对母乳喂养的影响达成共识。本文旨在阐述分娩时镇痛与母乳喂养的关系。

Labor causes severe pain for many women.Many women desire pain management during labor and delivery.There are many medical indications for analgesia and anesthesia during labor and delivery.In the absence of a medical contraindication,maternal request is a sufficient medical indication for pain relief during labor.Epidural analgesia(EDA)is being increasingly requested for pain relief in labor.Breastfeeding is an important public health concern.The benefits of breastfeeding to infants in the short-and long-term are now well established.Despite widespread use of epidural analgesia during labor,no consensus has been reached among obstetric and anesthesia providers regarding its effects on breastfeeding.The purpose of this review is to elucidate the relationship between labor epidural analgesia and breastfeeding in the immediate postpartum period.
