孟子的“仁政”思想,继承并发展了孔子“为政以德”的思想。“仁政”学说的核心是“以仁政得民心”,目的是“得天下”。“以仁政得民心”的具体内容有:制民之产,安定民心;与民同乐,收揽民心;谨庠序之教,规范民心;保民而王,利用民心。孟子“以仁政得民心”的思想是儒家德治思想的具体体现。

Mencius's thoughts of benevolence are the inheritance and development of Confucius'thoughts on politics and virtue.The core of the"benevolent politics"doctrine is to gain the public support with benevolence,and its purpose is to gain the world.The specific content of it includes controlling the people's products then stabilizing the public mind;enjoying with the people then gathering people's hearts;preaching the teachings in order to regulate public mind;protecting the people and become the king,so as to take advantage of the public mind.Mencius's thought of gaining the public support with benevolence is a concrete embodiment of the Confucian thought of rule by virtue.
