Chen Yuan’s fate is connected with“Modern Review”,and his essays such as“Xiying Gossip”have been criticized differently from the beginning.By sorting out his articles,the author tries to understand some of his individualized literary ideas and viewpoints under the specific historical background at that time,so as to carry out a certain degree of cultural reflection.
