In the new era,the national defense education of higher vocational colleges has many problems under the basic task of high moral values establishment and people cultivation,which directly affect the effective development of national defense education,as well as the construction of military disciplines and teaching staff. The paper takes high moral values establishment and people cultivation in as the basic task of national defense education under the background of the reform of the new military theory outline in the new era,and analyses the problems and solutions in the national defense education of higher vocational colleges.
