This paper introduces the detailed process,the defect resolution and the reason analysis of a 1000 kV isolation switch heating defect.The isolation switch heat generation critical defect is found during the inspection.It quickly shuts down the equipment and deals with hot defects in time.This paper analyzes the cause of the isolation switch heating.The direct cause is that the isolation switch has not been in place and the contact is poor.Through the processing and analysis of the defect,countermeasures are set in the aspects of installation and commissioning,operation and maintenance of the isolating switch to prevent such defects from happening again.
