A Practice-oriented Reform on Teaching Methods of Architectural English

建筑设计行业对外交流日益频繁,对建筑学专业英语的教学提出了更高的要求,该文分析了当前该课程教学存在的问题,提出应立足于与专业主干课程相结合,在课前、课堂、课后三个环节采取充实课堂内容、改进教学手段,强化交流氛围、增强沟通能力等措施,改进专业英语的教授方法,构建符合社会需要的教学体系,才能提升学生的能力水平,适应社会的需要。

With more contacts with foreign counterparts,Chinese profession of architectural design is looking forward to a higher level of education in architectural English.By analyzing the existing problems of the teaching,we suggest to better the curriculum’s teaching methods through integrating it with the teaching of architectural design.Aiming to improve the students’skills and abilities of communications,measures should be taken respectively during the proceedings of before class,in class,after class.Students oriented measures such as enriching the content,varying teaching styles etc.have been proved attractive and effective.
