Environmental Analysis of Hydropower Development in Nepal

中尼友好合作关系源远流长,自1955年中尼建交以来,中国和尼泊尔的友好合作关系取得了长足的发展,“一带一路”倡议为中尼政府的双边合作带来了更加广阔的空间。介绍了尼泊尔当前的经济发展状况,并重点阐述了电力市场以及水电行业的发展情况,随后从政治、经济、法律和社会等方面分析了尼泊尔水电行业环境及水电投资开发中面临的风险,并提出了应对措施。

China-Nepal friendship and cooperation have a long history.Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Nepal in 1955,the friendly and cooperative relations between China and Nepal have made great progress.The“Belt and Road”strategy has brought a broader space for the bilateral cooperation between the Chinese and Nepal governments.This paper introduces the current economic development of Nepal,and focuses on the development of electricity market and hydropower industry.Then,it analyses the possible risks faced by the environment of Nepal's hydropower industry and hydropower investment and development from the political,economic,legal and social aspects,and puts forward some countermeasures.
