摘要
安德鲁·芬伯格(Andrew Feenberg)是美国著名的技术哲学家,他师承于马克思主义哲学家、法兰克福学派的主要成员之一赫伯特·马尔库塞(Herbert Marcuse),专注于以社会批判理论(Theory of Social Critique)来研究技术及相关社会议题,在中国与国际哲学界具有很强的影响力。芬伯格以他丰富的个人经历见证了技术哲学在20世纪后半叶的发展历程。2017年的4S会议(Society for Social Studies of Science Annual Meeting)期间,作者与他进行了一次对谈。对谈中,芬伯格一方面梳理了自己与学术相融合的人生,还对技术哲学在STS(Science Technology and Society)中的地位进行了深入阐述。
During the 4S(Society for Social Studies of Science)Annual Meeting at Boston in 2017,we had an interview with Andrew Feenberg,the world-famous philosopher of technology.As a student of Herbert Marcuse,he does research on technology from the perspective of social critique,and has witnessed the development of the philosophy of technology since the middle 20th century.During the interview,he revisited his life which is featured by coherence between his private experience and his academic research,and expressed his thought-provoking views on the legacy of the philosophy of technology in STS.
