庸国存在的历史跨度大至有千年左右,其于殷商时建国,商末周初时国力最强盛,春秋中期被楚灭国。其间经历了臣商,宗周,附楚三个阶段,在商、周、楚的发展过程中扮演了不同的角色。但因其长期是附庸之国,庸人不明其姓其族,庸国不名于史。

Yong Kingdom had a history of about 1000 years,began in the Shang Dynasty,became prosperous in the early years of the Zhou Dynasty,and died out the middle years of the Spring and Autumn Period.It had gone through three stages and played three different roles in the Shang,Zhou and Chu dynasties,being a minister,clansman and vassal respectively.However,Yong people did not know their ancestors and history.
