Pattern Decoration of Chinese Traditional Musical Instruments and Its Inheritance and Application

中国传统乐器的装饰艺术承载着丰富的民族文化内涵,蕴含着民族的文化特性、审美习惯、工艺特色等多重信息。文章总结了通过资源收集和分析、理论研究和理念思考以及设计实践对中国传统乐器的纹样装饰及传承设计的体会,提出了把握乐器装饰的文脉属性、坚持纹样装饰的功能主导原则,从传统文化宝库中提取精粹资源、注重装饰材料和工艺对乐器品性的适宜性的传承应用主张。

The decorative arts of Chinese traditional musical instruments carries abundant national culture connotation, and contains multiple information such as national culture characteristics, aesthetic habits and technological characteristics.This paper summarizes the experience of Chinese traditional musical instrument pattern decoration and inheritance design through resource collection, analysis, theoretical studies, philosophy thinking as well as design practices.It also puts forward some proposals of inheritance and application such as grasping the cultural context of musical instrument decoration, adhering to the principle that pattern decoration is dominated by function, extracting essence resources from traditional culture, paying attention to the appropriateness of decorative materials and techniques for Musical Instruments.
