A Textual Research on the Part of Speech and Semantic Meaning of“其或”in the Analects of Confucius

各家历来对《论语》中"其或继周者"的"其或"说解不一,有人将"其或"视为两个单位;而有人将"其或"视为一个单位。周代至春秋时期的传世文献,发现共有12处"其""或(或者)"连用的例句,其他11例"其""或(或者)"连用均可视为两个单位,同时期的《论语》中的"其或"也不例外,其中"其"是表推测的语气词,"或"为动词"有"。

Different scholars have different interpretations of"其或继周者"In the Analects of Confucius.Some people regard"其或"as two units.Some regard it as one unit.In the literature handed down from from the Zhou Dynasty to the Spring and Autumn Period,we can found a total of 12 cases combimned其with或,the other 11 cases usually connected to其或can be regarded as two units of the same period in the Analects of Confucius,in which"其"is taken as a hypothetical mood wordwhile the word"或"as a verb.
