1942年后,针对形势的变化与自卫军的实际情况,根据中共中央的指示精神,陕甘宁边区党委、政府对边区自卫军进行整编。整编以自卫军实际存在的组织领导不健全、思想政治教育涣散等问题为抓手,以民主集中制与兵民结合为原则。通过整编,调动了社会各界保卫边区的积极性,积累了群众工作的丰富经验,巩固了抗日民族统一战线,并为边区的发展和抗日战争的胜利发挥了重要作用,也为新时期的民兵工作提供了借鉴与启示。

After 1942,in accordance with the changes in the situation and the actual situation of the SDF(Self-Defense Force),according to the instructions of the CPC Central Committee,the Party Committee and Government of the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Area reorganized the SDF.The reorganization took the problems of inadequate organizational leadership and undisciplined ideological and political education as the starting point of the SDF,and the principle of democratic centralism and the integration of soldiers and civilians.The reorganization has mobilized the enthusiasm of all sectors of society to defend the Border Area,accumulated rich experience in mass work,consolidated the anti-Japanese national united front,played an important role in the development of the Border Area and the victory of the Anti-Japanese War,and also provided reference and inspiration for militia work in the new era.
