摘要
阿比·瓦尔堡被视为艺术史图像学研究的先驱,而有关其视觉文化形象记忆理论的学术价值未受到深究。事实上,他致力于考察文艺复兴时期的绘画对异教文化视觉元素的借用现象,并分析其流变的路径以及在当时社会生活中的作用。他发现存在某些特殊且预先成形的视觉元素,并将这些反复出现的视觉元素称之为"情感公式"。为此,他探讨了这些视觉形象演变的规律和秩序,进而为其形象记忆理论的形成奠定了学理基础。本文旨在从哲学、心理学和艺术史的维度上探讨其形象记忆理论的阐释逻辑,并以此重构其理论在艺术史上的学术价值。
Aby Warburg is regarded as a pioneer in the study of iconography in art history,yet the academic value of his theory of the function of the image memory has not been deeply studied.In fact,he devoted himself to investigating the borrowing of the visual elements of the pagan culture in Renaissance paintings and analyzing its changing paths and role in the social life at that time.He discovered the existence of special,pre-formed visual elements,and called these recurring visual elements "formulas of emotion".To this end,he discussed the law and order of the evolution of these visual images,thus laying a theoretical foundation for the formation of his image memory theory.This paper aims to explore the interpretation logic of his theory of the function of the image memory from the perspective of philosophy,psychology and art history,so as to reconstruct the academic value of his theory in art history.
