《神农本草经》治“惊痫”药物分析

Shennong Bencao Jing records 22 drugs to treat epilepsy,and the natural quality,functional categories and clinical treatment of them were analyzed based on its 3 grades,namely low grade,medium grade and top grade.In Shennong Bencao Jing,low grade drugs mainly cure the disease to respond the earth,and medium grade drugs mainly cultivate nature to respond people,while top grade drug mainly maintain health to respond heavy.From nature quality,animal drugs take up 59%,which means treatment of epilepsy has close relationship with animal drugs.From functional effects,"epilepsy" "for epilepsy",and "mainly for pediatric epilepsy" are often seen in the book.The discussion of pediatric epilepsy indicates Shennong Bencao Jing has the idea of systematic prescription based on different branches.The research on the discussion and prescriptive principle of epilepsy prescription in Shennong Bencao Jing can give clue to the experimental and clinical treatment with single drug prescription and compound prescription.
