Going After Cacciato,receiving the National Book Award in 1979,is one of the best works of the American novelist Tim O’Brien.In its textually rich narrative,O’Brien explores the active imagination,deploying Jungian analytical psychology.The active imagination is the medium for not only representing trauma but also constructing an attitude towards trauma that comes to serve as a core for both healing and redemption.
