徐春保(Charles Xu)教授,加拿大工程院院士、加拿大西安大略大学化工系终身教授,安徽工业大学讲座教授,2011-2016年担任加拿大国家级工业讲座教授和林业生物质精炼首席科学家。在生物质精炼研究领域获得了很高的国际声誉,特别是在农林废弃物、城市有机固废、污泥、微藻等资源化转化生产生物能源、生物燃料、生物基化学品和材料、生物质可再生资源/能源在钢铁冶金工艺中的应用(生物质冶金、低碳冶金)等方向取得了一系列具有很高创新性及工业化应用价值的成果。

Dr.Charles Xu is a full Professor of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering,Fellow of Chemical Institute of Canada(FCIC),Fellow of Canadian Academy of Engineering(FCAE),Director of Industrial Bioproducts Laboratory of Western University,and guest professor of Anhui University of Technology,and was the NSERC/FP Innovations Industrial Research Chair in Forest Biorefinery between 2011 and 2016.He is an internationally recognized leader in the fields of biorefinery,particularly in the production of bio-energy,bio-fuels,bio-based chemicals and materials from forestry/agricultural residues,catalytic conversion of glycerol/sugars to platform chemicals,and biomass applications in metallurgical processes and emissions control.
