Research Progress on the Immunomodulatory Effect of Trace Element Selenium and Its Effect on Immune-Related Diseases

Selenium,one of the essential trace elements in the body,has a variety of biological functions including antioxidant activity,immunity enhancement and anti-tumor effect,and has the potential to be further developed into new drugs.In this paper,the research progress on the immunomodulatory effect of selenium and its mechanism and the effects of immune-related diseases in recent years were reviewed,and its future research and application were prospected.It is hoped to provide reference for further exploring the immune regulation effect and application of selenium.
