Expressing the Revolutionary Desire with Articles:A Discussion on Qin Senyuan's Poetry in Xishan

秦森源生于锡山秦氏家族,身处清末民初新旧思潮剧烈碰撞的转型时期,短暂的一生创作了大量的诗文。她呼吁妇女解放,提倡妇女权益,参与社会事务;她紧跟时代步伐,心忧时局,针砭时弊,诗文具有惊云裂石、激越豪迈的“风云气”。考察其原因,除了扎实的家学渊源之外,更与其女子中学读书经历及积极的社会交往有关。她的诗文既反映了当时混乱不堪的时局,又呈现出江南女性摆脱枷锁,走进社会的人生追求,这对了解江南地区近代化进程有着一定的参考意义。

Qin Senyuan was born in the Qin family in Xishan.Living in the transitional period of the violent collision between the old and new thoughts in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China,she created a lot of poetry during her short life.She called for women's liberation,advocated women's rights and participated in social affairs.She kept pace with the time,concerned about the current political situation and criticized the evils of the time,and her poetry has the bold“heroic spirit”.Besides family influences,it is related to her learning experience in girls'middle school and active social contacts.Her poetry not only reflects the chaotic era,but also presents Jiangnan women's life pursuits of getting rid of shackles and entering the society,which has reference significance for understanding the modernization process of Jiangnan area.
