摘要
本研究采用2×2被试间实验设计调查任务导向和注释方式对于英语学习者即时词汇习得的影响。任务导向分为词语匹配(输入任务)与定义(输出任务)。注释方式分为夹注和微型词典注释。研究发现,任务导向和注释方式对接受性词汇习得均没有影响,注释方式对产出性词汇习得也没有影响,但是词语定义任务相对于词语匹配任务更有利于产出性词汇习得。研究表明,不同的任务导向可能导致注意力分配的差异,投入量假设中的“搜寻”成分的作用需要重新审视。
A 2×2 between-subjects experimental design is employed to examine the effects of task orientation and glossing mode on EFL learners'immediate vocabulary acquisition.Task orientation has two levels(matching and definition),and glossing two levels(in-text glossing,mini-dictionary).In both receptive and productive vocabulary knowledge,glossing mode has no effect on EFL learners'vocabulary acquisition.The definition task outperforms the matching task in EFL learners'productive vocabulary acquisition,but not in their receptive vocabulary knowledge.The effects of task orientation may be due to the allocation of attention.And the“search”component of the Involvement Load Hypothesis needs to be reconsidered.
