The Pattern of"Crane with Pine Tree in Mouth"began to be popular in Heian period. This Pattern based on the"birds with ribbons in mouth"design, combined with immortality, which quickly gained mass appeal, and rapidly replaced the"birds with ribbons in mouth"design, the symbol of power,in Japan and the whole East Asia.It became the typical Japanese style decoration in Heian period and is still popular today. This pattern contains the simple and profound Shinto view of life and death of the Japanese, and enters the so-called multi-world structure in phenomenology through multiple layers of meaning, reflecting the principle of image relation and identity in human image consciousness.
