汉语副词“方才”用法探析

The Research of the Adverb “fangcai” in Modern Chinese

"方才"主要有时间名词和时间副词两种。文章从历时角度考察"方才"的副词用法,指出"方才"从最初表示时间间隔较短,到表示时间间隔较长,再到表示条件、因果、承接等关系,同时探讨了"方才"五种义项之间的内在联系,阐明了"方才"的本义是初始义,其他意义都是根据语境获取的。

Chinese word "fangcai" mainly works as a temporal noun and temporal adverb. Diachronically,"fangcai" as an adverb primitively meant the interval period was short and then it meant the interval period was longer,and gradually other semantic meanings,such as condition,cause-effect,and continuity,were developed. The inner relation of five kinds of meaning are discussed. It is concluded that the foundational meaning of "fangcai" is its original meaning while other meanings come from context.
