英美文学教学引入高校公共英语课堂的路径探讨

on Promotion of Students’Humane Literacy by Integrating English and American Literature Teaching into College English Class

英美文学教学在提高学生的语言应用能力尤其是人文素养方面具有重要作用,但现实情况是我国大学英语教学仍不同程度地存在“重技巧、轻应用”“重知识、轻文化”“重能力、轻素质”的现象,英美文学教学一直未受重视。针对这一情况,笔者以自己所在学校为例,通过问卷调查的方式,对英美文学教学引入公共英语课堂的必要性、可行性和途径进行探讨,力求为公共英语课堂改革提出参考意见。

English and American literature teaching has a important impact on enhancing college students’language ability,particularly humane literacy.In fact,our college English teaching pay more attention to skill,knowledge and ability than application,culture and literacy.English and American literature teaching is always missing in college English class.To address this phenomenon,the writer would like to take her school for example and make an effort for college English class reform by probing into the necessity,feasibility and ways of integrating English and American literature teaching into college English class through the use of questionnaire.
