公共性视角下的高密度城市公共空间设计研究

IMPLICATIONS FOR INCLUSIVE PUBLIC SPACES IN HIGH DENSITY CITY

社会公平问题已成为公共空间研究的焦点问题之一。从公共空间的本质出发,解读公共空间的特性和相关的都市政策。借助社会学与人类学的定性研究方法,从使用者的角度去探讨城市公共空间的开放性、公平性和可达性。大部分的公共空间在规划布局和设计上存在三种现象:主观化、支配性和形式化。然而,决策者角度下的安全性、可达性和易用性往往与用户的需求相矛盾。在进行城市设计尤其是公共设施设计的过程中,开放沟通渠道,协助用户主动参与到空间设计中,最大限度地实现利益的均衡,社区互动空间的全龄融合等设计策略有助于构建更加平等、包容的公共空间。

Social equity has been widely discussed in the public space research field. By studying the nature of public space,the paper provides some directions for researchers,planners and policymakers to enhance the quality of built environments towards healthy living. The study uses qualitative research methods such as interviews and observations.Three forms of social inequality are identi?ed:subjectivity,domination and formalization. The results show that the provision of many existing public spaces and facilities is to satisfy local governments rather than meet the needs of end users. Policymakers,planners and executives tend to set up strategies and build order to control the city and human behavior,however,city users continuously seek opportunities and their own ways under the strategies promulgated by governments. Governments and professionals shall respect the needs and concerns of the widest spectrum of users. Understanding the real situation from different perspectives. Involving various stakeholders and balancing their desires appropriately is vital to achieving inclusive and sustainable living environments.
